"At the end of Grade 11, my IB score for math was a 4. One year later, come results day, my score had improved to a 7. Thanks to Promatics and Teacher Nicky's perseverance, care and talents, I was able to improve my academic score and my attitude towards studying. I was never a studious kid, I would pick subjects which required minimal revision-English HL and Politics HL, for example. I took these classes in order to decrease revision time and rely on my writing and ability to think on the spot in the exam hall. While this may have worked, there's no avoiding math, it's a subject that you have to study for, where past papers and practice questions are key. Teacher Nicky helped me overcome this weakness by instilling traits like grit and discipline to encourage studying in a structured manner. Along with that, Promatics is not a traditional teaching center, where lessons last for exactly the amount of time allotted. Teacher Nicky was willing to provide support outside of teaching hours, often at crucial times late into the night. For instance, I, along with other students, shared long calls with the teachers to discuss our Math IA, resulting in a significant improvement in the final product. My journey with Promatics went beyond grades, nurturing personal growth alongside academic success and laying a resilient foundation for my future. Promatics has taught me the importance of passion and discipline in work, qualities that reach beyond an academic career which are invaluable and rare."

"It's crazy to think that I've been going to Promatics from the time I was still learning addition and subtraction. In that time, so much has happened and, yet, Promatics has been such a constant in my life. I recognize that I was not the most hardworking student growing up (took me multiple weeks to finish a one-sided worksheet), and I took up A LOT of patience to get through one lesson. Thank you for always staying back to help me through a question even if that means prolonging the lesson by as much as 30 minutes, repeating yourself constantly to help me understand a single step, answering my questions over WhatsApp with zero hesitation, and for the words of encouragement when I needed it the most. Beyond helping me overcome my greatest enemy (math), attending Promatics has helped me find another home and special community within Hong Kong. You've truly shown me what it means to persevere through challenges and, yet, make everyone feel truly cared for. I don't know what I'd do without my weekly classes at the Universal Trade Centre. Even though it'll be a bit more than a 10-minute walk from the center, I look forward to continuing to connect with you and Promatics in the years to come <3"

"Thanks for all the support that you have given me throughout the years. I remember the time I first joined Promatics and the awe I felt when you pulled out papers that were nearly identical to what we were learning in class. No matter how unprepared I would be, you always cared and supported me until I would finally understand. Now that I am in university, I want to say that none of this ever would have been possible without your support so from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much! I hope we can continue to stay in touch and when I visit HK"

"It's been a very long time since I first started attending Promatics and met Teacher Nicky. My first 6 years, we didn't really get to interact much but I remember being super afraid of him from all the different rumours I heard over the years. He has been a true mentor not only in math, but also in many other aspects in life, and I just wanted to say thank you, thank you for always having trust in me, believing in me, and never giving up on me even when I wasn't the most passionate or committed. Without him, I probably would not have gotten an A last year and a high A- this year. Beyond math, I enjoyed our many convos whether it was about college, school drama, or completely unrelated topics. As I leave Promatics and head off to college, I will bring the many lessons you have taught me and hope to make you proud someday. Thank you so much for all these years, and your best AP Calc student will always remember to visit you even after college."
